This course deals with basic principles of assessment and diagnosis; goals of assessment in special education; levels of assessment; development and administration of informal assessment; screening & identification tests; intelligence tests; adaptive behavior tests; acheivement tests; perceptual motor tests; behavior tests; language tests; assessment and diagnosis of special education categories, and special considerations of each category; ethical and legal considerations of using tests in the field of special education.
