School of Educational Sciences Hosts Dr. Nasreen Qaraqeish for a Scholarly Session on “Scientific Research Methods"

​As part of its continuous efforts to enhance knowledge and develop students' skills in the field of scientific research, the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan organized a distinguished academic session featuring educational expert Dr. Nasreen Youssef Qaraqeish. The session was held within the activities of the course “Research Methods in Information Science and Libraries," taught by Professor Dr. Abdul Mahdi Al-Jarrah.

Dr. Qaraqeish began the session by emphasizing the importance of scientific research as a fundamental component of graduate programs, highlighting its vital role in developing students' research abilities and empowering them to effectively engage with diverse sources of information.

During her talk, she discussed the scientific research procedures covered in the course, presenting applied models and research examples published in peer-reviewed academic journals, including studies featured in Dirasat, the scholarly journal issued by the University of Jordan. This approach aimed to bring a practical dimension to the theoretical aspects of the subject.

In conclusion, Dr. Qaraqeish offered a set of recommendations to students, urging them to focus on contemporary issues within their field of specialization and to strive toward producing new knowledge through scientific research, which will enhance their academic and professional presence in the future.

It is worth noting that Dr. Nasreen Qaraqeish possesses extensive experience in educational technology and educational supervision. She earned her master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Jordan and has held academic and administrative positions in various educational institutions. She has also worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Jordan and currently serves as a lecturer at the Hashemite University.

This session is part of a broader series of events and activities organized by the Faculty, aimed at preparing distinguished students who can employ scientific research to advance their fields of knowledge and contribute effectively to improving the quality of higher education outputs in line with current developments and challenges.
