School of Educational Sciences Hosts Educational Expert Omar Al-Atal in a Specialized Training Session on Curriculum Content Analysis

The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan organized a training session with educational expert Mr. Omar Al-Atal from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), as part of the “Professional Qualification for Classroom Teachers” course taught by Dr. Ibrahim Hammad.

The session aimed to deepen students’ understanding of planning and assessment skills, with a focus on content analysis as a central tool in designing and developing curricula. Mr. Al-Atal delivered a scientific presentation that addressed both the theoretical and practical aspects of the topic. He discussed the concept of content analysis, its steps based on approved educational standards, and its relationship to determining learning objectives and behavioral outcomes. He also presented practical models derived from real curriculum materials, providing students with a deeper understanding of educational analysis mechanisms.

Artificial intelligence was also a key theme in the session, as Mr. Al-Atal explored the role of AI tools in accelerating content analysis, improving its accuracy, and tailoring it to learners' needs. He emphasized the importance of employing these tools with educational awareness and professional responsibility to ensure that teachers complement these technologies rather than be replaced by them.

The session witnessed significant engagement from students, who showed keen interest through their questions and interactions—reflecting their growing awareness of the importance of developing practical skills essential to the teaching profession. Mr. Al-Atal welcomed their inquiries and encouraged them to take full advantage of training opportunities and to foster a culture of continuous learning and self-development.

At the end of the session, the students expressed their sincere gratitude to Mr. Omar Al-Atal for the valuable educational insights he shared, appreciating his ongoing cooperation with the school and affirming the importance of such engagements in enhancing their professional performance.

In turn, the School of Educational Sciences extends its deep appreciation to Mr. Al-Atal, praising these meaningful educational partnerships that contribute to realizing the school’s vision and mission of preparing qualified teachers equipped with the competencies required to keep pace with developments in education in the modern era.
