The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan hosted a specialized training workshop titled “From Idea to Project Using Artificial Intelligence Tools”, delivered by Mr. Hisham Al-Shakhshir, an AI expert accredited by the University of Leeds (USA). The workshop was supported by the Crown Prince Foundation and organized by Dr. Maryam Al-Zayyadat and Ms. Ghada Qaqish, within the framework of the Career Readiness course for students of the Counseling and Mental Health Department.
The workshop opened with an introduction to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its future dimensions, highlighting its importance as one of the key drivers of change across educational and professional sectors. Participants were introduced to modern tools and technologies available to students and researchers, along with guidance on how to invest in them to develop ideas and transform them into practical, applicable projects.
The workshop focused on the concept of transforming an idea into an entrepreneurial project through AI. The speaker outlined the stages of moving from an initial idea to a fully developed project—starting with formulating the idea and defining its objectives, moving through designing appropriate technological solutions, and culminating in practical implementation. The session also included discussions and applied examples, enabling students to interact directly with the tools presented and to understand their potential.
In addition, the workshop addressed the importance of innovative thinking and adopting entrepreneurial skills, emphasizing the role of AI in supporting small projects and community initiatives, as well as its contribution to empowering youth to enter the labor market equipped with modern knowledge and expertise. The workshop also featured interactive group activities that encouraged students to present and discuss their ideas, which added a practical dimension and enriched the learning experience.
This workshop comes as part of a series of initiatives carried out by the School of Educational Sciences, aiming to connect its students with modern technological trends and to equip them with skills that enhance their opportunities in education, employment, and entrepreneurship. It also provides them with opportunities to build networks with experts and supportive institutions, such as the Crown Prince Foundation, thereby opening promising horizons for their future.
