The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan has been awarded the Jordanian Quality Assurance Certificate by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission (AQAC) for a period of four years, becoming the first school at the university to receive this prestigious recognition.
This achievement follows the School’s fulfillment of all national quality standards and requirements, as highlighted in the evaluation reports issued by the Commission. The reports praised the School’s commitment to high academic and educational performance and its continuous efforts in implementing qualitative improvement and development plans across academic programs, administrative practices, and research initiatives.
Professor Mohammad Sayel Al-Zayoud, Dean of the School of Educational Sciences, expressed his pride in this national accomplishment, emphasizing that the four-year accreditation is the result of dedicated, collaborative efforts by all academic and administrative staff and a clear reflection of the School’s adherence to national and international quality standards.
Professor Al-Zayoud noted, “This significant achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of Professor Nadhir Obaidat, President of the University, who provided guidance and resources to advance the quality file, and the continued oversight of Professor Amira Al-Masri, Vice President of the University. I also extend my gratitude to Dr. Ramzi Haroun, Vice Dean of the School, for his wise leadership and meticulous follow-up on quality assurance within the School, which directly contributed to this well-deserved success.”
He also acknowledged the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, led by Professor Dhafer Al-Saraireh, for their professional and transparent approach in applying QA standards, which helped strengthen the culture of quality in Jordanian higher education institutions and build trust in the national accreditation process based on continuous improvement.
In a separate statement, Dr. Ramzi Haroun, Vice Dean of the School, highlighted that the four-year accreditation results from systematic institutional work accumulated over years, including the development of curricula, enhancement of learning environments, and improvement of administrative and academic performance to align with both national and international quality standards. He stated, “This accreditation crowns a process of continuous planning and evaluation and reflects the strong collaboration between the School’s departments and administrative units, in addition to the University of Jordan’s unwavering support.”
Dr. Haroun extended his thanks to Dean Professor Mohammad Sayel Al-Zayoud and all faculty and staff for their dedication and fruitful efforts, affirming that the School will continue its journey of continuous improvement to serve students and the educational community.
Professor Al-Zayoud concluded by emphasizing that the School of Educational Sciences will continue enhancing the quality of its academic, research, and training programs, contributing to the preparation of exceptional teachers and educational leaders capable of making a meaningful impact in the field of education, in alignment with the University of Jordan’s vision of leadership, excellence, and community service.
