The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan Organizes an Awareness Event on Various Disorders and Diseases, Including Polio, Cerebral Palsy, and Breast Cancer

​Under the patronage of Professor Mohammad Sayel Al-Zyoud, Dean of the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan, the school organized a special awareness event in recognition of October, the global awareness month for several disorders and diseases such as polio, cerebral palsy, and breast cancer.

This event comes as part of the School’s pioneering role in serving the university community and promoting health and educational awareness among students, while reinforcing the values of social responsibility within a supportive environment that fosters learning and human empowerment.

The event aimed to promote a health-conscious culture and raise awareness about the importance of prevention, early detection, and community support through a variety of interactive educational activities. Informative brochures and cards written in simple, student-friendly language were distributed, and educational competitions featuring questions about these diseases and disabilities were organized—encouraging active participation and positive engagement from attendees.

The event was supervised by Dr. Amal Ibrahim, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, with remarkable participation from field training students and several other students from the School who contributed to the planning, organization, and implementation of the event—embodying the spirit of initiative and teamwork that characterizes students of the School of Educational Sciences.

The event received wide engagement from students and effectively contributed to raising the level of health awareness across the university campus, reaffirming the School’s continuous commitment to fostering awareness and civic responsibility.

At the conclusion of the event, the School of Educational Sciences extended its gratitude and appreciation to all organizers and participants whose efforts contributed to the success of this distinguished awareness activity, reflecting the School’s vitality and dedication to building a conscious and responsible generation that contributes meaningfully to community service.
