As part of efforts to strengthen academic and educational partnerships between the University of Jordan and the Ministry of Education, the School of Educational Sciences , through faculty members from the Higher Diploma in Teacher Preparation program, participated in judging the second season of the "Education Panorama" competition. The event was organized by King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence in the Muqabalin area and held under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as part of the Kingdom's celebration of its 79th Independence Day.
The event was attended on behalf of the Minister by Dr. Ahmad Al-Masaafah, Director of the Department of Education, alongside Professor Rami Abdul Rahim, President of the University of Petra; Dr. Omar Al-Khattatbeh, Director of the Higher Diploma in Teacher Preparation Program at the School of Educational Sciences ; Mr. Hashem Al-Zayoud, Director of the Qweismeh Education Directorate; as well as principals of Excellence Schools and members of the educational community.
Professor Mohammad Sael Al-Zayoud, Dean of the School of Educational Sciences , emphasized the importance of such partnerships in empowering and qualifying teachers to provide high-quality education that contributes to building generations capable of meeting future challenges. He noted that the faculty is constantly working to expand its partnerships with the Ministry of Education and other educational institutions to enhance the University of Jordan's role in serving the community and fulfilling its national mission.
Dr. Al-Zayoud added that the University of Jordan is a strategic and active partner committed to supporting the educational process and presenting innovative pedagogical models that enhance the quality of education and contribute to achieving sustainable development in Jordanian society. He explained that this cooperation reflects the university's vision of achieving academic and research excellence and offering leading educational programs that enhance teachers' capacities and open new horizons for creativity and innovation.
For his part, Dr. Omar Al-Khattatbeh stressed that the Faculty's participation in judging the competition reflects its commitment to fostering academic engagement with national educational institutions and creating a stimulating learning environment that develops teachers' abilities and leadership skills according to the highest global educational standards.
The national competition witnessed the participation of distinguished students from Excellence Schools across the Kingdom, competing in scientific and academic challenges in Arabic, English, mathematics, and science. The judging was overseen by faculty members from the Higher Diploma in Teacher Preparation program, who contributed their academic expertise to guide students and assess their performance—fostering communication and knowledge exchange between educational institutions.
At the end of the event, Amal Al-Swaiti, Principal of King Abdullah II School for Excellence – Muqabalin, expressed her gratitude to the University of Jordan, represented by its President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat; the Dean of the School of Educational Sciences , Prof. Mohammad Sael Al-Zayoud; and Dr. Moayyad Al-Khawaldeh, Assistant Dean for the Higher Diploma Program, for their ongoing support and active cooperation. She noted that this reflects the university's dedication to its societal mission in supporting national educational institutions.
Participants from the Higher Diploma in Teacher Preparation program were honored and awarded certificates of appreciation for their active contribution to the success of this national event, which aimed to promote the values of creativity and excellence, and to instill a spirit of belonging and distinction in celebration of the 79th Independence Day under the wise Hashemite leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein.
