As part of efforts to strengthen the partnership and cooperation between the University of Jordan and the SADAQA Foundation, Professor Dr. Mohammad Sayel Al-Zayoud, Dean of the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan, conducted an inspection visit to the university's daycare center. He was accompanied by a delegation from the SADAQA Foundation, including Rand Naffa' and Reem Abu Al-Ragheb. The visit aimed to assess the needs of the daycare and explore ways to develop it, in line with the memorandum of understanding signed by both parties, which seeks to improve the learning and care environment at the center.
The tour began with a reception by Kawthar Al-Hadarb, Director of the University of Jordan Daycare, who gave a comprehensive presentation on the current state of the facility. This includes providing modern educational equipment and developing activity rooms in accordance with global best practices in childcare and early education. She also stressed the importance of introducing specialized training programs for teachers and caregivers to enhance their professional competencies and improve the quality of educational services provided to the children.
Professor Dr. Al-Zayoud affirmed that the visit reflects the School of Educational Sciences' commitment to supporting the daycare as a comprehensive educational model. He stated that the faculty aims to transform the daycare into a model center by applying the latest educational curricula designed for children and adopting innovative teaching methods that enhance children's skills and develop their abilities within a safe and stimulating learning environment. He added:
"The partnership with SADAQA is a strategic opportunity to develop the university daycare according to internationally recognized standards, which will help prepare children for school with confidence and competence. We will work on providing modern educational equipment, implementing training programs for staff, and developing early education programs using modern technology and interactive learning tools."
As part of implementing the terms of the memorandum of understanding between the University of Jordan and SADAQA, Rand Naffa', representing the foundation, stated that SADAQA seeks to provide the necessary technical and logistical support for developing the daycare. This includes supplying interactive educational play tools, training educational staff, and improving facilities to ensure the achievement of the daycare's educational goals. She emphasized that the foundation is implementing comprehensive programs to enhance the learning environment and turn the daycare into a model for early education.
Similarly, Reem Abu Al-Ragheb stressed the importance of focusing on developing children's skills during early childhood through innovative educational programs. She affirmed that SADAQA is working to develop comprehensive learning programs that promote critical thinking, communication, and creativity among children—aligned with the latest global trends in early childhood education.
At the conclusion of the visit, both parties agreed on a comprehensive five-step action plan:
- Identify technical and educational needs by conducting an in-depth needs assessment and prioritizing urgent interventions.
- Launch specialized training programs for teachers and caregivers to effectively utilize modern educational tools and enhance children's skills.
- Develop the learning environment by providing advanced equipment, including interactive play tools, smart educational devices, and dedicated activity rooms for child development.
- Enhance parent engagement by organizing awareness workshops about the importance of early education and ways to support children in their formative learning stages.
- Monitor and evaluate progress through clear performance indicators to track project implementation and assess its impact on both children and staff.
This visit represents a strategic step toward realizing the University of Jordan's vision of advancing its educational and developmental environment in line with global best practices. It underscores the commitment of both the university and SADAQA Foundation to improving the quality of early childhood education through a modernized, inclusive, and empowering daycare model.
SADAQA is expected to begin implementing the proposed projects in the coming months, with a specialized team overseeing progress to ensure the intended goals are met.
