Graduates of the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan have won the 2024 Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Educational Excellence in the categories of Distinguished Teacher and Distinguished Principal.
The award for Distinguished Principal was received by Inas Zuheir Abdel Ashour, who holds a Master’s and PhD in Educational Leadership, and Randa Fawzi Salem Al-Masri, who holds a Higher Diploma in Education. The award for Distinguished Teacher was received by Nora Mustafa Mohammed Al-Jawabreh, who holds a PhD in Educational Psychology, and Asma Abdul Karim Abdul Ali, who holds a degree in Classroom Teacher.
Dr. Mohammad Sayel Al-Zyoud, Dean of the School of Educational Sciences, pointed out that the Queen Rania Award for Educational Excellence is one of the most prestigious awards that honors, appreciates, and motivates excellence in the field of education. The award aims to recognize teachers and principals who demonstrate creativity and excellence in Education.
The award reflects Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah’s vision to enhance the quality of education and improve educational performance, ensuring the provision of outstanding education that contributes to building individuals capable of creativity, innovation, leadership, and future-building.
Dr. Alzyoud emphasized that the Queen Rania Award for Educational Excellence encourages continuous innovation, improvement, and the creation of a positive competitive spirit among educators, thereby raising overall performance levels and enhancing the quality of education in Jordan.
He added that the award provides an opportunity for the exchange of experiences among distinguished individuals, helping to spread best educational practices more widely.
Alzyoud highlighted that educational excellence is a fundamental pillar in the process of educational development. It is not limited to academic excellence but also includes innovation, inspiration, and motivation for learning and growth. It ensures the ability to bring about positive change in the educational environment and to provide a learning experience that contributes to building a generation of young people with the knowledge, skills, and values that qualify them for future success.
