School of Educational Sciences Participates in the 25th Arab Student Creative Forum with a Distinguished Research on Cyberbullying Anxiety and Its Relation to Technological Well-being

The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan participated in the 25th Arab Student Creative Forum, organized by the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity. The event was hosted by Salahaddin University and Tishk International University in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The forum was attended by several university presidents, their deputies, and deans from various Arab universities that are members of the council, adding significant academic and collaborative dimensions to the event.

The forum included around 50 research papers prepared by students representing 26 universities from eight Arab countries. The papers were divided into four main themes covering creativity and innovation in the fields of science, technology, education, and the humanities. The forum aimed to enhance the research culture among students, encouraging them to develop their research according to distinguished scientific standards, thereby enabling them to actively contribute to addressing societal issues.
The School of Educational Sciences contributed through a research paper by students Lina Al-Batarseh and Yasmeen Al-Salhat, under the supervision of Ms. Ghada Qaqish, Assistant Dean for Graduate Affairs, Laboratories, and Events. The research, titled "Cyberbullying Anxiety and Its Relationship to Technological Well-being Among Students of the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan," tackled a vital issue affecting students' psychological and social well-being amid current challenges. The paper explored the effects of cyberbullying on students and the connection between this phenomenon and technological well-being, which refers to students' ability to engage with technology in a healthy and safe manner, ensuring a stable educational environment.
The research garnered significant attention from the forum organizers and was selected for the final list of 11 papers from a total of 118 submissions, making it the only paper representing Jordanian universities.
The participation of the School of Educational Sciences in this forum provided an excellent opportunity to enhance students' academic and research capabilities. The forum served as an interactive educational platform where students could present their research to a group of esteemed academics and specialists. It also provided students with opportunities to network and build professional connections with peers from various Arab countries, broadening their academic horizons and enabling them to engage in enriching research discussions.
Through this participation, students were able to refine their research skills, improve their abilities in critical thinking, analysis, and creative problem-solving, and build self-confidence. The forum also motivated them to innovate and address problems facing their communities. Moreover, the event supported students interested in research and entrepreneurship, offering a valuable stepping stone for their future academic and professional careers.
The University of Jordan's involvement in such creative forums is a significant contribution to the development of higher education in Jordan and the Arab world. It helps build a strong knowledge base among students starting at the undergraduate level.
