The meeting featured extensive discussions on avenues of cooperation between the two schools, focusing on several key areas reflecting the shared aspirations for academic excellence in educational fields. Both sides exchanged insights on curriculum development and updating study plans in alignment with national and international accreditation and quality assurance standards. Discussions also included internal quality assurance policies and institutional and academic performance evaluation frameworks.
The delegation was briefed on the School of Educational Sciences' pioneering experience in digitizing educational content, including demonstrations of advanced digital courses and interactive teaching methods based on modern educational technologies. The visiting delegation expressed keen interest in this experience and their intention to adopt similar practices at the University of Anbar.
In the area of teacher preparation, emphasis was placed on integrating theoretical and practical components in pre-service teacher training programs. The University of Jordan's experience in field training and its collaborative model with partner schools were highlighted. Both parties discussed the development of formative and summative assessment mechanisms to enhance students' professional competence and readiness to teach in dynamic and evolving educational environments.
Discussions also focused on scientific research collaboration. The two sides agreed on the importance of forming joint research teams to address priority educational issues and implement collaborative projects that contribute to educational quality improvement. They also discussed opportunities for joint supervision of master's and doctoral theses to promote scholarly interaction and strengthen research environments at both institutions.
An agreement was reached to organize joint academic conferences, training workshops, and specialized seminars on a regular basis as effective platforms for exchanging educational knowledge and innovative ideas. Mechanisms for academic and scientific exchange visits between faculty and students were also discussed, given their role in enhancing cultural and intellectual exchange and expanding joint learning and training opportunities.
The discussion extended to opportunities for joint teaching under the Visiting Professor Program. The School of Educational Sciences expressed its willingness to host academics from the University of Anbar to teach graduate courses—an initiative aimed at deepening academic exchange and enriching instructional experience. The University of Anbar delegation also introduced the “Study in Iraq" program, which provides opportunities for Jordanian students to pursue graduate studies at Iraqi universities, affirming their readiness to welcome students from the University of Jordan under this program.
Following the meeting, the delegation toured the school's facilities, including academic departments and e-learning halls, where they observed the modern infrastructure and advanced technologies used in teaching, assessment, and training.
At the conclusion of the visit, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sayel Al-Zyoud expressed his appreciation for this meaningful academic initiative, emphasizing that the visit marks a strategic step toward institutional cooperation that supports the educational mission of both universities and helps build strong knowledge bridges between Iraq and Jordan.
