The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan Holds a Series of Preparatory Meetings for International Accreditation Support Committees in Anticipation of CAEP Team Visit

As part of its preparations to obtain international accreditation (CAEP) for its Postgraduate Diploma in Teacher Preparation Program, the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan has initiated a series of preparatory meetings and workshops for the accreditation support committees. These sessions were attended by faculty members, aiming to unify efforts and enhance shared understanding within the program team.

The meeting began with a message of appreciation from the Dean of the School, Prof. Mohammad Sayel Al-Zyoud, who thanked the quality committee and the accreditation support teams for their dedication and active participation in the workshops. He emphasized the importance of continuing to work with diligence and sincerity.

Prof. Al-Zyoud highlighted the value of these meetings as part of the institutional efforts to elevate the quality of academic programs and strengthen the School's global competitiveness. He stressed the need for integration of roles among all academic and administrative team members.

He directed the teams to begin early and comprehensive preparation of documents and evidence related to accreditation standards, with a focus on showcasing the program's actual strengths in a professional manner that aligns with international standards. He also urged continuous communication among team members and regular task reviews to ensure the process proceeds according to the set timelines, in anticipation of the upcoming CAEP site visit.

Dr. Sahar Abu Halou, Assistant Dean for International Accreditation and Global Rankings, provided practical guidance to the committees. She focused on coordinating team efforts and ensuring a shared understanding of all the submitted evidence in an organized and cohesive way. She stressed the importance of full readiness to meet accreditation requirements, adherence to international standards, and consistency across all committees' work.

Dr. Abu Halou also offered clear directives on the systematic documentation of evidence and emphasized the importance of ongoing training for the support committees to boost their preparedness for engaging with the visiting accreditation team.

Dr. Moayad Al-Khawaldeh, Assistant Dean for the Postgraduate Diploma Program, pointed out that such workshops enhance the program's field readiness and provide the committees with practical experience in dealing with accreditation requirements in an accurate and effective manner.

Dr. Omar Khattatbeh, Director of the Postgraduate Diploma in Teacher Preparation Program, praised the engagement and seriousness of the support committees composed of faculty members. He affirmed that the program is progressing steadily toward accreditation—God willing—reflecting the quality of its outcomes. He called for continued teamwork and integration of efforts.

The meeting featured a specialized workshop delivered by Dr. Areej Masaadeh, focusing on Standard 1 of the accreditation framework. She explained the core elements that must be included, how to handle the supporting evidence methodically and professionally, and offered practical examples to guide the team in meeting the accreditation requirements.

The workshop was marked by high interaction from support committee members, who raised insightful questions and valuable contributions that enriched the discussion. The dialogue addressed practical challenges that the teams may encounter while preparing the evidence and proposed solutions aligned with global best practices.
