Minister of Education Honors Dr. Sanaa Al-Samadi from the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan for Winning the 2025 Khalifa Award for Education

His Excellency Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, honored Dr. Sanaa Mahmoud Salem Al-Samadi, faculty member at the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan, on the occasion of her winning the Khalifa Award for Education 2025 in its 18th cycle, in the category of Educational Research—one of the most prestigious educational awards in the Arab world.

The honoring ceremony was held at the Ministry’s headquarters in the presence of distinguished educational and academic leaders. Minister Mahafzah praised Dr. Al-Samadi’s outstanding achievement, describing it as a source of pride for Jordanian education and research.

Dr. Al-Samadi won the award for a joint research project conducted with Dr. Nesreen Mohammad Humaid Al-Jaafreh from the Ministry of Education, entitled: “The Impact of Employing Artificial Intelligence-Based Educational Applications on Improving English Speaking Skills among Jordanian Basic Stage Students and Teachers’ and Students’ Perceptions of Their Use.” The research employed an applied field design to address one of the most pressing contemporary educational challenges: exploring the role of AI in enhancing speaking skills among Jordanian school students, assessing the effectiveness of advanced educational applications in the classroom, and gauging teachers’ and students’ views on their practicality.

This scientific achievement carries profound significance—not only in showcasing the competence of Jordanian women researchers but also in representing the vision of the University of Jordan and its School of Educational Sciences to advance technology- and innovation-driven educational research in a rapidly transforming digital world.

Dr. Al-Samadi expressed her deep gratitude to the Minister for this recognition, noting that the honor serves as a powerful motivation for her and for the broader educational research community in Jordan. She reaffirmed her commitment to developing innovative educational tools that improve teaching quality and meet the needs of future generations amid fast-paced technological change. She dedicated this achievement to the University of Jordan and to all educators who believe in the mission of research and education.

It is worth noting that the Khalifa Award for Education is one of the most prominent educational awards at both the Arab and international levels. It seeks to promote excellence and creativity in the educational field by recognizing inspiring figures and pioneering initiatives that make a tangible impact on educational policies and practices.

This win stands as a shining example of Jordanian excellence in international forums, embodying the integration of academic thought with applied educational practice, all in the pursuit of building a future of education grounded in intelligence, creativity, and innovation.
