During his meeting with the students, Professor Mohammad Sayel Al-Zyoud, Dean of the School of Educational Sciences, expressed his pleasure at hosting this training visit, emphasizing that: “The Arab Student Exchange Program represents an important platform for enhancing communication among Arab universities. It is a unique opportunity for students to gain new experiences and to be exposed to diverse educational environments. At the School of Educational Sciences, we place great importance on such programs that refine students’ personalities and enrich their academic and professional expertise. We are proud to be part of this joint Arab endeavor in the field of education and psychological counseling.”
The Department of Psychological Counseling at the School prepared a comprehensive training program for the visit, which included an introduction to the department and its academic plans, attending various lectures delivered by faculty members, and engaging in classroom discussions that provided the students with opportunities to exchange perspectives with their peers at the University of Jordan. In addition, the students took part in the Career Readiness Program aimed at developing professional skills and enhancing employability, explored the counseling services offered by the university’s Counseling Unit, and went on a field visit to the Counseling Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs to learn about the procedures and mechanisms used to support students.
The training program concluded with positive feedback from Aseel Issa and Bara’a Abu Shaqrah, who expressed their gratitude to the University of Jordan for its warm reception and the richness of the experience. They praised the opportunity to observe the School’s academic and counseling practices, noting that the program had provided them with valuable practical experience that would support their academic journey and future professional careers.
