The workshop, overseen by Ms. Ghada Qaqish, Assistant Dean for Graduate Affairs, Laboratories, and Activities, took place over three consecutive days in the School’s well-equipped classrooms. The workshop was distinguished by its practical approach, combining modern theories with real-world applications.
The main goal of the workshop was to enhance students' life skills, which are essential for building strong personal character and increasing the chances of success in various life fields. The workshop focused on five key areas: effective communication skills, positive thinking, problem-solving, time management, and stress management and self-regulation.
The workshop employed modern teaching methodologies that emphasized active participation. It included discussion sessions, practical exercises, and real-life scenario simulations. Presentations and educational videos were used to explain theoretical concepts, and group activities were organized to foster teamwork and collaborative spirit.
A total of 25 students from various disciplines within the School of Educational Sciences participated in the workshop, creating a diverse learning environment that encouraged the exchange of ideas and experiences. Many students expressed their appreciation for the workshop, considering it a unique educational experience that helped them acquire essential life skills.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a ceremony was held to honor the participants, where certificates of appreciation were awarded in recognition of their efforts and active participation. Ms. Ghada Qaqish delivered a speech in which she expressed pride in the workshop’s success and praised the contributions of the Liwan Youth Organization. She emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to organize more events aimed at serving students and developing the community.
It is worth noting that the School of Educational Sciences consistently organizes training workshops and educational programs focused on developing students' life skills, recognizing the crucial role universities play in preparing an aware generation capable of facing the challenges posed by rapid global changes.
