Program Specifications

MASTER IN Curriculum and Instruction Methods of Teaching Arabic Language / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

After completing the Master of Arabic Curriculum and Teaching Methods, the student is expected to be able to:

1. Designs curricula for the topics of his/her specialization using different models of design in the light of the theoretical frameworks of the curricula and the objectives of the specialization's education.

2. Analyze and compare existing curricula using different models for curriculum analysis and judge these curricula according to their theoretical frameworks and the objectives of teaching the specialization.

3. Employs technology in curriculum design and classroom teaching in line with the theoretical frameworks of educational and teaching technology and its developments.

4. Apply the research methodologies and tools emanating from them in the preparation of its thesis and the preparation of the different types of research related to the Arabic language curricula and the teaching emanating from it.

5. Demonstrates a deep understanding of the modern trends in Arabic language curricula, teaching methods, theories of learning and teaching the Arabic language, and understands the linguistic and scientific terminology associated with them, appreciating the role of the Arabic language in bridging the means of communication effectively with others.

6. Compares linguistic assessment methods with their role in diagnosing language impairment in students.

7. Innovate solutions to problems related to Arabic language curricula and teaching them, applying scientific research methodologies in solving linguistic problems.

8. Develops tools for analyzing Arabic language curricula and conducts original research to develop Arabic language curricula.

9. Demonstrates a deep understanding of linguistic assessment methods stemming from Arabic language learning theories and active learning skills for teaching Arabic at different levels of study.

10. Uses higher thinking skills, critical thinking, and creativity in analyzing and investigating issues related to Arabic language methods.
