About the program and its main topics
The PhD program in Educational Leadership is the only program offered in Jordanian universities, and it has come from the modern global trends in the era of the knowledge economy, information and communication technology, and the rapid change in various fields of life, in order to improve management practices to reach the level of leadership practices based on creativity and influence in subordinates. In addition, new directions have recently emerged for the Jordanian Ministry of Education in the development of administrative leadership, thinking about the development of a special system for practicing the profession, and focusing on the importance of leading change as the leadership style necessary to achieve effective coexistence for our educational institutions, especially as we approach the end of the second decade of the twenty-first century, in a way that provides a better response to the requirements, challenges and technologies of this era. At the level of higher education institutions, the transformation of the performance of officials in this sector from managerial practices to leadership behaviors has become an imperative necessity to provide the requirements for the transition of these institutions towards competitiveness and thus reaching the level of the world. In addition, the PhD program in Educational Leadership is one of the uncommon doctoral disciplines in the Arab world.
