Program Specifications

PhD. IN (Special Education) / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

After completing the Doctoral in Special Education program, the student is expected to be able to:
1. Analyze and evaluate special education, early intervention and vocational rehabilitation programs, and propose plans for their development in light of international standards and the needs and requirements of the local community.
2. Supervise and train the cadres working in the field of special education to understand the characteristics of learners with disabilities and implement individual educational plans and teaching strategies appropriate for them.
3. It effectively contributes to generating positive societal attitudes towards disability by spreading the culture of inclusion in the regular school and the community to reach the principle of equal opportunities for all citizens.
4. Adheres to the value system of society and public ethics, has a work ethic with individuals with disabilities and their families, preserves their privacy and defends their rights.
5. Analyze and discuss research gaps in the educational literature and propose and implement solid and authentic scientific studies in the subject of special education and publish them in refereed scientific journals.
6. Propose and develop practical models and solutions to the problems suffered by groups of people with disabilities and thoroughly test the effectiveness and effectiveness of these solutions and models.
7. Employs higher thinking, critical thinking, and creative thinking skills in analyzing and investigating issues related to special education, employing relevant technology applications.
8. Collaborates with and communicates with others effectively and provides technical advice and support to civil society organizations interested in the affairs of individuals with disabilities and working in a team spirit.
9. Takes responsibility and is committed to developing and deepening his abilities, knowledge, and scientific and personal skills, and to generate new knowledge using information and communication technology, and to employ its applications in supporting his work in the field of special education.
