Program Specifications

PhD. In Foundations of Education / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

After completing the Doctor of Pedagogy program, the student is expected to be able to:

1. Demonstrates deep knowledge and understanding of the origins, patterns and theories of social, philosophical and political education and applies the best of them in his field of work.
2. Demonstrate an ability to understand the educational process and the role of culture in it, and develop practices to apply the theories of culture to the dimensions of the educational process.
3. It analyzes the phenomenon of globalization and deduces its various effects on education systems in Jordan and the Arab world.
4. Demonstrate professionalism in guiding educational systems in accordance with the principles of contemporary educational thought, and propose effective ways to develop them.
5. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and to develop his/her knowledge and abilities to meet the changing needs of the labor market.
6. Extracts and analyzes the problems and challenges facing the Jordanian educational system, and develops creative solutions to face them.
7. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of educational philosophies and their contemporary applications in the educational field.
8. Practice professional and societal ethical principles, demonstrate a keenness to respect them, and demonstrate the ability to deal ethically with the recipients of the educational service and stakeholders.
9. Demonstrates the ability to use global databases and information to access knowledge and information, and use it for self-learning and conduct research and studies to develop his work.
10. Develops creative and creative pedagogical perceptions of the future role of education in the life of the individual and society.
11. Designs and applies quantitative and qualitative research in investigating issues related to educational leadership, in the preparation of his/her thesis and in publishing peer-reviewed research in refereed international scientific journals.
12. Apply the skills of communication, teamwork, and creative thinking in his educational work, and adopt them as methods of analyzing educational problems and reaching solutions to them.
