After completing the Ph.D. program in Psychological and Educational Counseling, the student is expected to be able to:
1. Applies practically and professionally the procedures and methods of guidance emanating from different theoretical tendencies to realistic situations.
2. Builds and develops qualitative counseling programs that are appropriate for the different developmental stages and the role of counseling at each stage, and disseminates them.
3. Analyzes and discusses in depth the research gaps in the theoretical literature related to counseling, and conducts original and sober scientific studies and researches that contribute to finding solutions to contemporary psychological problems and issues, and works to publish them in refereed scientific journals.
4. It diagnoses various mental disorders with great accuracy through the application of diagnostic criteria for these disorders, and provides an effective treatment plan to deal with these disorders.
5. Employs theoretical and practical foundations in understanding, diagnosing, and treating problems facing the family and in providing distinguished services in family and marital counseling.
6. Assume responsibility and work effectively within a team and adhere to professional ethics and societal values in performing tasks and work in the field of counseling work.
7. Takes responsibility and is committed to developing and deepening his abilities, knowledge, and scientific and personal skills, and generating new knowledge using information and communication technology, and employing its applications in supporting his work in the field of psychological and educational counseling.
8. Supervises and trains junior counselors to employ and use counseling skills and methods with different counseling situations.
9. Provides unique and advanced ideas and models in psychological counseling for individuals and institutions related to psychological and educational services.
