PHD IN (Curriculum and Instruction Methods of Teaching Arabic Language) / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

The following educational outcomes emerge from the program's philosophy and justifications:

1- Applying contemporary standards in the preparation of curricula in general and Arabic language curricula in particular.

2- Mastering modern strategies in teaching the Arabic language.

3- Employing scientific research according to the quantitative and qualitative methods in the Arabic language curricula.

4. Identify the relationship between the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), teaching and developing them.

5. Employing technology in designing and teaching Arabic language curricula.

6- Comparison between Western Linguistic Critical Schools (Reception, Semiotics) and Arabic Theoretical

(The Context of Al-Jurjani) and its Application to Literary Texts in the Arabic Language Curricula.

7- Applying curriculum management processes and implementing them according to contemporary trends in curriculum preparation and implementation strategies (centralized, decentralized, and participatory).

8- Distinguishing between the types of inquiry (scientific, critical, fictional, philosophical, historical, aesthetic, and phenomenology) and applying them in addressing the issues of Arabic language curricula and teaching them.

9- Comparison between the curricula of preparing Arabic language teachers, and their criticism.

10. Critique the Arabic language curricula and its teaching in the light of contemporary trends in the preparation and implementation of curricula.
