MASTER IN (Psychological and Educational Counseling) / Practical Training & Field Experience

 Field Training

Students are distributed to specialized centers in areas such as child abuse, shelters for abused women, juvenile centers, correction and rehabilitation centers, psychotherapy centers, and addiction treatment centers, where the student works for 15 weeks at an average of 20 hours per week, during which the student provides counseling services under supervision, and develops a counseling program, applies it, studies its effectiveness, and writes a report about it.

The field training course in counseling is usually offered in the second semester of each academic year, and the field visits are carried out in coordination with the entity in which the student is training and the subject teacher.

The number of credit hours for field training in counseling is 200 hours for the last semester of the student who is expected to graduate, where each student submits the course requirements at the end of the semester in a special file that includes all the activities and requirements of the course.
