Overview
The Department of Educational Leadership and Foundations has been one of the leading departments in the School of Educational Sciences since its establishment in 1972. It began with undergraduate courses and later introduced Master’s programs in Foundations of Education (1975) and Educational Administration (1977), along with Professional Diploma and Ph.D. programs in Educational Administration and Foundations of Education (2002), and the Ph.D. in Educational Leadership (2019), as well as the Higher Diploma in Educational Leadership (2025). The department contributes locally and regionally to preparing educational leaders, with a focus on excellence and innovation in understanding and addressing educational challenges.
