Overview
The department began its activities in 1977/1978 with a Higher Diploma in Library and Information Science, later evolving into a Professional Diploma, and becoming an independent department in 2006/2007 offering diploma, master’s, and bachelor’s programs. As of the second semester 2024/2025, it carries its current name and offers a Bachelor’s in Library and Information Science, Master’s in Library and Information Science, and Master’s and Ph.D. programs in Educational Technology. The department prepares specialized academic and professional personnel, develop research, utilize modern digital knowledge management technologies, support educational and institutions while fostering innovation in e-learning.
