In its ongoing efforts to achieve academic excellence and international recognition, the School of Educational Sciences organized an extensive workshop involving members of international accreditation committees in collaboration with a team from the Queen Rania Academy and the "IREX" Foundation. This workshop is part of the “Essas" project, which aims to develop academic programs and enhance the quality of education.
The event was held under the patronage of the Dean of the School, Professor Dr. Mohammad Sayel Alzyoud, and organized by the Assistant Dean for International Accreditation and Global Rankings, Dr. Sahar Abu-Halo. The meeting was attended by members of accreditation committees and educational experts from partnering organizations, aiming to develop a detailed action plan to implement the requirements for international accreditation (CAEP).
In his opening remarks, Professor Dr. Alzyoud emphasized that obtaining international accreditation is a strategic step that highlights the School's commitment to achieving the highest standards of academic quality. He explained that this accomplishment will enhance the School's reputation both locally and internationally and will provide students with more distinguished educational opportunities.
Dr. Sahar Abu-Halo explained that the efforts are progressing according to a well-thought-out plan, focusing on the integration of all involved parties. She emphasized that continuous monitoring of task implementation will remain a priority for the International Accreditation Office.
The workshop focused on several key areas, including an analysis of the current status of academic programs, the development of plans to improve curricula in line with accreditation standards, and the importance of enhancing School members' efficiency through intensive training programs. The workshop also discussed the need to support scientific research addressing pressing educational issues.
Furthermore, the session reviewed mechanisms for measuring the positive impact of these efforts on the educational field, focusing on improving the quality of education and preparing graduates with the skills necessary to meet the demands of the job market.
The workshop concluded with several important recommendations, including the preparation of periodic reports to monitor task implementation, launching training initiatives for School members, and reviewing academic programs to ensure alignment with accreditation standards. The meeting also recommended strengthening measurement and evaluation tools to improve academic performance and ensure the achievement of desired outcomes.
These efforts are part of the School's vision to enhance its global competitiveness. Obtaining CAEP accreditation is seen as a testament to the School's commitment to global quality standards. This achievement helps attract outstanding students and qualified School members, in addition to enhancing the job market opportunities for graduates both locally and internationally.
The School plans to hold regular meetings to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations, as well as prepare the necessary documentation for the final evaluation. These steps reflect the School's dedication to providing a leading educational experience that contributes to improving the educational system in Jordan and strengthening academic leadership at both regional and international levels
