Under the patronage of the President of the University of Jordan, the School of Educational Sciences Mourns the late Dr. Majed Abu Jaber

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Natheer Obeidat, the University community commemorated the late Dr. Majed Abu Jaber, a professor of Educational Technology in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching, at an event organized by the School of Educational Sciences. They remembered his bright and accomplished life.

Dr. Mohammed Sayel Al-Zyoud, the Dean of the School, stated that during this event, they remember the achievements of Dr. Majed, may he rest in peace, and all the knowledge and expertise he shared with the Jordanian generations that passed through his hands.

He added that the late Dr. Majed was an optimistic individual, a noble university professor, and a man of unique ethics that neither wealth nor fame could change. He remained steadfast in his principles and never wavered. He was someone who diligently fulfilled his duties, even in the most challenging circumstances. Even when he was ill, he was keen to meet his students, visit his office, and ensure they could continue their educational journey without interruption.

Al-Zyoud also highlighted how generous Dr. Abu Jaber was in his support for the School's conferences and events. He always contributed significantly to the success of these activities. He emphasized that nobody would forget that his home in Al-Yadoudeh was open to all friends and loved ones.

Dr. Akhlaif Al-Tarawneh recounted a part of the life of the late Dr. Abu Jaber, which was filled with achievements and marked by his contributions to knowledge and scientific research. He described him as a school of rationality, clarity, and intellectual and knowledge richness.

Al-Tarawneh concluded, "You have departed, leaving a deep sorrow in the hearts of your loved ones, which time and years cannot erase," highlighting the qualities of the late professor since the beginning of his career at the University of Jordan and in other universities, carrying the message of knowledge.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Zu'bi spoke about the achievements and virtues of the deceased, emphasizing that he was beloved to his family, compassionate to his students, dedicated to his field of study, and deeply patriotic.

Dr. Moataz Abu Jaber, the late professor's brother, expressed his gratitude to the University of Jordan and those responsible for organizing the memorial event for Dr. Majed Abu Jaber, who left a positive impact among his colleagues, students, and admirers in various academic, professional, and academic fields.

The memorial event, attended by the University of Jordan's Vice Presidents, the family of Dr. Majed Abu Jaber, colleagues, and friends from the School of Educational Sciences and various national institutions, included a video presentation that highlighted the life of the late educator Abu Jaber, as well as key milestones in his life.

It's worth mentioning that Dr. Majed Abu Jaber held various leadership and academic positions. He served as a university professor in the Schools of Educational Sciences at Mu'tah University, Al-Balqa Applied University, the Arab Open University in Kuwait, and Al-Hashemite University. He concluded his career at the University of Jordan. He also served as the Dean of the School of Educational Sciences at Al-Hashemite University, acted as the Acting President of the Higher Education Institutions Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, and served as the Dean of the School of Educational Studies at the Arab Open University in Kuwait. Additionally, he was the Dean of the School of Educational Sciences at Mu'tah University, Dean of Princess Rahma University School at Al-Balqa Applied University, Dean of Student Affairs at Al-Balqa Applied University, and a UNESCO consultant in Libya and Saudi Arabia. He participated in numerous international and local scientific conferences and chaired or served as a member of various committees and councils in educational institutions in Jordan and abroad.
