The School of Educational Sciences Hosts Expert Ahmad Obeidat to Discuss Sports for Persons with Disabilities

​The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan hosted expert Mr. Ahmad Obeidat, a specialist in special education and sports for persons with disabilities, as part of a series of academic sessions aimed at enhancing students' field knowledge and linking theoretical education with practical application.

Mr. Ahmad Obeidat is recognized as a distinguished expert at the Ministry of Education, with extensive experience in developing sports programs for individuals with disabilities and overseeing athletic activities that support the integration and empowerment of this group within schools and the wider community.

During the session, Mr. Obeidat spoke about the importance of sports for persons with disabilities, highlighting the various fields in which they can participate and the crucial role that sports play in boosting self-confidence and developing motor and social skills. He also provided a comprehensive overview of the Paralympic Committee, explaining its role in organizing and supporting local and international sporting events for persons with disabilities.

Obeidat addressed a key topic on how to adapt sports and physical activities within the school environment to align with the abilities and needs of students with disabilities.
