The School of Educational Sciences hosted a technical meeting dedicated to discussing the instructional packages to be developed for all courses of the Bachelor’s Program in Early Childhood Education, within the framework of the ASAS Project, in cooperation with IREX.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ramzi Fathi Haroun, ASAS Project Director at the University of Jordan; Dr. Ali Mustafa Al-Alimat, ASAS Project Director at the Hashemite University; Dr. Heba Abu Jbara and Ms. Samar Abu Ghazaleh from the Queen Rania Teacher Academy; and Ms. Hala Ayyoub from IREX.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ramzi Fathi Haroun delivered a presentation on the new field training system in the Early Childhood Education program, with a particular focus on the course “Field Observations and Reflections,” highlighting its pivotal role in linking academic preparation with structured field experience and strengthening the integration of theoretical and practical components in student preparation.
Dr. Ali Alimat from the Queen Rania Faculty for Childhood at the Hashemite University presented a detailed vision of the components of the instructional package, addressing its structure, content, and mechanisms for use in supporting teaching and learning in alignment with quality standards and approved frameworks.
The meeting resulted in developing a detailed framework for the components of the instructional package and defining the quality specifications to be observed in its development. These include clarity of learning outcomes, coherence of content, diversity of activities, assessment tools, and support for the students’ learning experience.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of producing distinguished, up-to-date instructional packages that reflect the level of quality sought by the Bachelor’s Program in Early Childhood Education and the School of Educational Sciences, and that contribute to preparing qualified educational professionals capable of meeting the demands of the contemporary educational field.
