The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan, represented by the Higher Diploma Program for Teacher Preparation – Department of Teacher Preparation and Field Training, participated in judging the projects of the Jordan International Science, Engineering, and Technology Fair. The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the University of Jordan Academy building.
Representing the School on the judging panel were Dr. Jawaher Al-Ghuwairi and Dr. Sura Sabri, who contributed to evaluating students’ projects based on rigorous and approved scientific criteria. These criteria focused on the originality of the idea, research methodology, accuracy of implementation, and feasibility of application, thereby promoting a culture of creativity and innovation among students in the fields of science, engineering, and technology.
This participation reflects the active role of the School of Educational Sciences in preparing qualified educational professionals and strengthening its presence in national and international scientific events. It also underscores the School’s commitment to supporting initiatives that foster the discovery of young talents and the development of their research and scientific skills.
The fair featured a wide range of projects across diverse disciplines, including various branches of engineering, environmental sciences, physical sciences, life sciences, earth sciences, chemistry, robotics, programming, sustainability and environmental conservation, as well as nanotechnology applications. This diversity highlighted students’ scientific awareness and their engagement with modern developments and global trends in advanced science and technology.
The Jordan International Science, Engineering, and Technology Fair is considered one of the leading national scientific platforms dedicated to identifying and nurturing young talents. It provides students with opportunities to present their innovative projects before specialized judging panels, gain valuable practical experience, engage with the STEM community, and potentially represent Jordan in international scientific competitions.
