Honoring Prof. Mona Al-Hadidi in Recognition of a Distinguished Academic and Administrative Career Spanning Nearly Four Decades

Under the patronage of the Dean of the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan, Prof. Mohammad Sayel Al-Zyoud, the School held a ceremonial event to honor Prof. Mona Al-Hadidi, Professor of Special Education, in recognition of her distinguished academic and administrative career. The event was attended by faculty members and a number of academics.

In his speech, Prof. Al-Zyoud expressed his deep pride in honoring Prof. Al-Hadidi, emphasizing that this recognition is a tribute to a rich scientific, administrative, and humanitarian journey that spanned nearly forty years of continuous academic service at the School and the University. He noted that she represented an exemplary model of the university professor and academic leader who combined knowledge, commitment, and responsibility.

Prof. Al-Zyoud highlighted that Prof. Al-Hadidi served as Dean of the School of Educational Sciences during a pivotal period in its development, and that her leadership contributed significantly to the School’s academic and administrative advancement. Her efforts included developing academic programs and study plans, enhancing the quality of the educational process, supporting scientific research, and strengthening institutional work and team spirit among faculty and administrative staff, which positively reflected on the School’s standing within and beyond the University.

He further noted that Prof. Al-Hadidi’s achievements extended beyond administrative work to include outstanding scholarly contributions in the field of special education, active participation in academic committees, supervision of numerous theses and dissertations, and a prominent role in preparing and qualifying generations of students who now serve effectively in various educational fields, particularly in supporting individuals with special needs.

Prof. Al-Zyoud added that Prof. Al-Hadidi’s career was marked by dedication, sincerity, and a deep sense of belonging to the School and the University, leaving a lasting impact on the School’s journey and contributing to many achievements that continue to testify to her efforts.

He concluded by reaffirming the School and University’s commitment to fostering a culture of appreciation and recognition for academic staff who have contributed to their growth and progress, wishing Prof. Al-Hadidi continued health and success, and hoping that her pioneering experience will remain a source of inspiration for future generations.

In her speech, Prof. Al-Hadidi expressed her sincere gratitude and pride in this honorable gesture, stating that the recognition represents a medal of pride for her. She described her years at the School of Educational Sciences as rich with meaningful experiences and genuine human relationships, expressing deep appreciation to the University and School leadership, her colleagues among faculty and administrative staff, and everyone who shared in her journey of service. The honorary ceremony was organized by the Social Committee at the School of Educational Sciences as part of its efforts to promote values of loyalty and appreciation and to honor academic competencies that have contributed to the School’s development and progress.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the Social Committee, Dr. Mayson Al-Duwairi expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation to Prof. Al-Hadidi, praising her distinguished academic and administrative career and her sincere efforts that had a significant impact on the School’s progress. She emphasized that this recognition reflects the affection and respect of her colleagues for her years of dedicated service and outstanding human collaboration.
