Preparatory Meetings for International Accreditation Committees
Overview:
The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan has initiated a series of preparatory meetings with the support committees for international accreditation, in anticipation of the upcoming visit of the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) team.
As part of its comprehensive efforts to secure CAEP accreditation for the High Diploma in Teacher Preparation Program, the School convened preparatory workshops and meetings for the accreditation support committees. These sessions were attended by faculty members, who actively engaged in discussions aimed at unifying efforts and strengthening the shared understanding among the program team.
The meeting commenced with opening remarks by the Dean of the School of Educational Sciences, Professor Mohammad Sayel Al-Zayoud, who extended his gratitude to the Quality Assurance Committee and the supporting accreditation committees for their commitment and active participation. He emphasized the importance of perseverance, diligence, and sincerity in sustaining these collective efforts.
Professor Al-Zayoud further highlighted the significance of such meetings as part of the Faculty's institutional strategy to advance the quality of its academic programs and enhance its global competitiveness. He stressed the necessity of role integration and close collaboration among all academic and administrative team members in order to ensure success in the accreditation process.

The Fifth Annual Conference of the School of Educational Sciences: “The Future of Education in the Arab World: Innovation, Leadership, and Artificial Intelligence"
Overview:
The Annual Conference of the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan explored the major future transformations in Arab education through the lens of artificial intelligence and big data analytics.
The Dean of the School of Educational Sciences, Professor Mohammad Sayel Al-Zayoud, highlighted that the conference comprised seven specialized academic sessions distributed across two days, with the participation of distinguished scholars from Jordanian and Arab universities. More than thirty scholarly papers were presented, addressing contemporary themes such as educational leadership, instructional technology, teaching didactics, artificial intelligence, and psychological sciences. These contributions represent a valuable addition to the educational field, as they focused on real-world issues and proposed innovative, practical solutions that remain sensitive to the cultural, educational, and local contexts of the Arab world.
Professor Al-Zayoud further emphasized that the conference underscored the importance of integrating academic research with educational policymaking. He noted that the School was committed to organizing broad-based discussion panels that featured constructive academic interventions, thereby enriching dialogue and fostering critical reflection within the educational community.

Ramadan Iftar Gathering
Overview:
The Social Committee organized a Ramadan Iftar for the HDTP team at the University of Jordan. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Omar Al-Khatatbeh, Program Director, who warmly welcomed the distinguished attendees from the program's academic staff and their families. He conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Dean of the School of Educational Sciences and the Assistant Dean for High Diploma Affairs on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. Dr. Al-Khatatbeh also expressed appreciation to the Social Committee for organizing such meaningful gatherings that strengthen bonds of collegiality, cooperation, and goodwill.
The gathering featured a variety of religious, cultural, and recreational activities and competitions, which brought joy and smiles to the faces of the team members and their families.
At the conclusion of the event, the Social Committee—represented by the Program Director and Dr. Nesreen Al-Afeshat—honored the team members for their dedicated efforts in the program with symbolic gifts as tokens of gratitude and appreciation.

As part of strengthening educational partnerships between the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan and educational institutions across both the public and private sectors, the School of Educational Sciences convened an introductory meeting with partner school principals to discuss avenues of collaboration in the High Diploma in Teacher Preparation Program. The session brought together faculty members and candidates as part of the School's efforts to strengthen English language learning in light of rapid technological transformations. The discussion highlighted the importance of equipping students with the skills needed to adapt to the demands of the modern labor market, while remaining aligned with the ethics of education and the needs of society.
The session was coordinated and moderated by Dr. Sahar Abu Hulo, Assistant Dean for International Accreditation and Global Rankings.

Event Title:
Academic Visit to a Number of American Universities and Schools
Overview:
The University of Jordan, alongside several other Jordanian universities, participated in an academic visit to a number of prestigious American universities. The purpose of the visit was to explore the process of obtaining U.S. international accreditation for schools of educational sciences and to learn about the academic programs offered by American universities across various fields.
Speaking to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Professor Mohammad Sayel Al-Zayoud, Dean of the School of Educational Sciences, emphasized that the visit was part of the support provided by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to the University of Jordan under the program supporting the implementation of the High Diploma in Teacher Preparation, which is carried out in partnership with the American organization IREX.

The candidates of the High Diploma in Teacher Preparation Program conducted a series of scientific experiments based on the STEAM approach, implemented during the program's sessions. The event was attended by Professor Mohammad Al-Zayoud, Dean of the School of Educational Sciences, Dr. Sahar Abu Hulo, Assistant Dean for High Diploma Affairs, Eng. Omar Dawoodieh, Project Management Specialist at USAID, and Dr. Omar Al-Khatatbeh, Program Coordinator and Quality Assurance Officer.
The STEAM approach integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through strategies of active learning. It emphasizes the development of self-directed learning, fosters joy in the educational process, and equips learners with greater capacity to solve problems and confront real-world challenges. This is achieved through the application of design thinking and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), paving the way for innovation and creativity.
During the event, candidates showcased examples of projects carried out during the program's sessions, under the supervision of their Teacher Educator, Dr. Abdullah Shehab.
