The University of Jordan participated in the Annual Student Conference of the Association of Deanships of Student Affairs in the Arab World, hosted by Al Ain University in the city of Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, from January 25 to 29, 2026, under the title:
“Artificial Intelligence Without Limits: Students’ Journey Toward the Future.”
The University of Jordan’s participation was represented by student Razan Majdalawi from the School of Educational Sciences, representing the humanities colleges. She was the only participant from this academic track to take part in the conference. She presented a scientific research paper entitled:
“Patterns of Health Information–Seeking Behavior in the Age of Artificial Intelligence:
Cyberchondria, Digital Health Literacy, and Trust in Online Health Information.”
The study, conducted in collaboration with Ms. Ghada Qaqish, examined patterns of health-related information-seeking behavior in the age of artificial intelligence. It highlighted the phenomenon of cyberchondria, the role of digital health literacy, and the level of trust in electronic health information sources in shaping students’ health awareness and their decision-making related to mental and physical health.
The research received commendation from the judging committee for its scientific depth, originality, and the integration of psychological, educational, and technological dimensions. It was also praised for its strong alignment with the conference themes addressing rapid digital transformations and the impact of artificial intelligence on education.
This participation reflects the academic excellence of the students and staff of the School of Educational Sciences and their ability to compete in Arab scientific forums. It also underscores the University of Jordan’s commitment to supporting student research and encouraging collaborative research partnerships between students and faculty members, thereby strengthening the university’s presence in the fields of digital education, mental health, and knowledge-based innovation.
