The Dean of the School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan, Professor Mohammad Sayel Al-Zyoud, conducted an inspection visit to the University of Jordan School at the beginning of the second semester. The visit came as part of his commitment to continuous field follow-up and to enhancing the educational environment at the school, with the aim of closely reviewing the progress of the educational process, identifying the needs of the teaching and administrative staff, and strengthening direct communication with students and teachers.
Professor Al-Zyoud was accompanied during the visit by the Assistant Dean for School Affairs, Dr. Maisoon Al-Duwairi, Professor Adnan Al-Dawlat, and Dr. Omar Abu Ghlyoun, in the presence of the Acting Principal of the University of Jordan School, Ms. Ahed Ayyasrah.
The visit began with a comprehensive tour of classrooms, during which the Dean observed the teaching and learning process, the level of student engagement during lessons, the classroom environment, and the availability of educational resources, all of which contribute to achieving educational objectives in an optimal manner.
During his classroom visits, Professor Al-Zyoud interacted with students in a friendly dialogue, listened to their views and impressions of the school, and reviewed samples of their work. He emphasized the importance of providing a motivating learning environment that fosters students’ intellectual and creative abilities and enhances their motivation toward learning and excellence.
The tour also included an inspection of several school facilities to assess their readiness and safety, ensuring the provision of a secure and supportive school environment that meets students’ educational and developmental needs.
Professor Al-Zyoud met with a number of teachers and administrative staff members, where he listened to their feedback and suggestions and discussed ways to improve educational performance and enhance the school work environment. He expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted by the teaching and administrative staff, stressing the pivotal role of teachers in shaping students’ personalities, instilling educational and national values, and highlighting the importance of continuous support, training, and professional development.
For her part, the Assistant Dean for School Affairs, Dr. Maisoon Al-Duwairi, affirmed that the visit reflects the School’s commitment to strengthening integration between the School of Educational Sciences and the University of Jordan School. She noted that direct field follow-up helps identify actual needs and supports ongoing development and improvement efforts, positively impacting both students and teachers.
In turn, the Acting Principal of the school, Ms. Ahed Ayyasrah, expressed her appreciation for the visit, noting that it reflects the School’s interest in the University of Jordan School and its dedication to advancing the quality of education. She emphasized that the Dean’s observations and guidance will play an effective role in improving performance and enhancing the educational environment.
At the conclusion of the visit, Professor Al-Zyoud stressed the importance of maintaining continuous communication and regular field visits, given their positive impact on monitoring educational realities, addressing challenges, and enhancing the quality of education, in line with the University of Jordan’s mission and goals of academic and educational excellence.
